Join us for a special event with Lauren Wolk, bestselling author and Newbery Honor winner, as she shares her first picture book, The Outermost Mouse.  

Following the presentation, there will be a craft and book-inspired activity that kids will love! 

Copies of Lauren Wolk’s books will be available for purchase, courtesy of Titcomb’s Bookshop, and attendees are invited to have their books signed by Lauren following the presentation.

About the Author
Lauren Wolk is the bestselling author of Wolf Hollow, a Newbery Honor book and winner of the New England Book Award, Jane Addams Honor, and Massachusetts Book Award. Her historical novels for young readers—Beyond the Bright Sea, Echo Mountain, My Own Lightning, and Candle Island—have garnered widespread acclaim and over 50 state book awards collectively.

Her latest novel, Candle Island, was released in April 2025 and continues her tradition of thoughtful, lyrical storytelling. In addition to middle grade fiction, Lauren is the author of two picture books currently in production and is the 2024 Massachusetts Reading Association Children’s Literature Award recipient.

Outside of writing, Lauren is also an award-winning poet and a visual artist represented by Larkin Gallery (Provincetown and Harwich Port, MA). She is represented by Jodi Reamer of Writers House and lives and creates on Cape Cod.
