Friends of Cotuit Library Speaker Series: Lawrence Brown In-Person
Join us for an engaging lunchtime discussion with Lawrence Brown, a true renaissance man whose career as an educator, columnist, writer, and theologian has endowed him with deep insight across history, politics, religion, and contemporary social issues.
With over 45 years of teaching experience—including 34 years at Cape Cod Academy—Larry has shaped countless minds in subjects ranging from American history and geography to public speaking and photography. As a longtime columnist for Cape Cod Times, he has written more than 1,600 opinion pieces over nearly four decades. He is also a published author and an interfaith minister, frequently speaking on world religions and theological discourse.
This session will embrace the Socratic method—asking and answering questions to explore ideas and beliefs. Bring your curiosity, submit a question in advance to library director, Autumn Hassett, or come ready to engage in thoughtful conversation over lunch.
